France's ambitious mixed-propulsion interceptor combining two wingtip-mounted turbojets with a central SEPR rocket. Reached Mach 1.6 and 15,000 m in testing. Three built. Development of the Trident technology fed into France's later delta-wing interceptor programmes. Represented France's post-war drive for aviation independence.
