Northrop Grumman ITALD
Northrop Grumman · Improved Tactical Air-Launched Decoy / Radar Decoy / SEAD Support · USA · Modern (1992–2009)
Powered tactical decoy used in Gulf War and Iraqi Freedom to saturate Iraqi air defences ahead of strike packages. The unpowered TALD glider version was used in large numbers in 1991; the ITALD added a turbojet engine for greater range and sustained deception. Predecessor to the more capable MALD.
