DARPA Control of Revolutionary Aircraft with Novel Effectors (CRANE) demonstrator. First large-scale aircraft with no moving control surfaces — all control via active flow control using pressurised air jets blown over surfaces. First flight 2025. If successful could eliminate ailerons elevators and rudder from future aircraft reducing radar signature and mechanical complexity.
